EcoLogic – Our Company, Our Commitment

EcoLogic is a product line that is long overdue. Today’s cabling infrastructure industry abuses natural resources, utilizing standards that generate massive amounts of unneeded products, which in turn, create millions of tons of waste each year. Because of these standards in today’s marketplace the consumer is paying more for a box of cable than a new computer.

In the spirit of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), EcoLogic is a better solution. The EcoLogic product line is less expensive, easier to install and much more environmentally friendly than current industry products and practices. Moreover, our products outlast cabling solutions currently utilized throughout the industry, as they can be reused many times over without the need of an industry-certified, high-priced technician.

EcoLogic’s product line, part of the “Building Green” cooperative, uses recyclable materials for packaging, dramatically reducing the massive amount typically used within the industry. Based upon current industry standards, for every 4,270 locations of voice and data cable product sold today (the equivalent of a large corporate office), more than 3.7 tons of waste is created*. This waste is primarily composed of so called “scrap wire,” containing precious natural resources like copper. This is wire the customer is being charged for! Alternatively, by using EcoLogic in this scenario, a mere 200 pounds of “waste” is generated, a 3.6 ton reduction of overall waste. Additionally, this Ecologic-generated “waste” is primarily composed of cardboard boxes made from recycled materials, which are therefore recyclable, thus resulting in a negligible amount of waste.

The traditional zone cabling concept still requires terminating and testing in the field, which potentially creates tons of waste and large install times. EcoLogic requires no termination or testing in the field; all locations are pre-designed on detailed AutoCAD blueprints, defining the exact location and length of every drop, and accounting for all needed switch ports, racks or enclosures. The product can be pre-pulled during early construction or run near the end of construction to avoid damage resulting from trade work. By eliminating termination and field testing, typical installation time is reduced to nearly half that of a typical structured install.

EcoLogic Quick-Connect Cable

EcoLogic, our patented plug and play Cat6 cable, is the most economical product in the industry, offering as much as 50% savings over a structured cable plant.* These products are simple: a factory terminated and tested zone cable that connects directly to the device (i.e. computer, telephone, security camera, card access system) and patched directly into an Ethernet switch. Each cable is labeled on both ends with a unique serial number defining the location, type, and length, making it simple to service.

The EcoLogic design not only simplifies the installation of the product and reduces wire management, but also eliminates the need for excessive rack space, patch panels and patch cords. Adding additional drops is made easy, requiring a simple plug and play of EcoLogic’s Quick-Connect cable from the zone to the desktop.

For companies that are constantly moving, expanding or remodeling, the EcoLogic product is ideal. Simply pull the cable away from your modular furniture or office location, make your move, and re-feed your cable to the new location. There is no need to re-terminate or re-test the cable, nor the need to hire high-paid technicians.

Although EcoLogic does not require conduits, it can be run through pre-existing conduits or into an open wall, as well as through any modular furniture on the market.

Quick-Connect M2 Series Cable: This is our “Male to Male” (M2) cable, employed for standard IT purposes.
